Event Description:

This is a brand new certified 8K road race, based from the ECU Student Recreation Center, and will take runners past some of the best sights in Greenville. It is organized by Greenville Recreation and Parks, Greenville, Pitt County Government, and East Carolina Road Racing. A 1 mile Fun Run and a 100 yard Kid's Dash will also be offered. The race will be scored with electronic shoe chips. Proceeds from the event will benefit Go Science, the Pitt County Arts Council, and the American Red Cross. The races are followed by an awards and food party at the SRC's great outdoor pool.
